For our house league programming to run during the summer, we rely on volunteer coaches. Without enough coaches, we cannot run our house league. No previous soccer experience is necessary.
Coaches are given exercises and activities to run during the practice portion of the game night. We ask that the coaches make the practice portion fun and engaging, helping all kids to participate and fall in love with the sport! Once the practice portion is completed, the kids participate in a game for the remainder of the time.
Balls, cones and a pop-up goal are supplied and it is the responsibility of the coach to bring these items each week. If a coach is not available to coach for one week, they should reach out to another parent on the team (in person, via the SportEngine messaging app etc) to arrange for someone else to lead for the week they will be absent. The coach must also make sure they provide the gear for the week they will be absent. At the end of the season, this gear will be returned to the club.
